Wolverhampton Wanderers fans react as club reportedly after Celtic defender

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly rivalling Leicester City, Everton and Manchester City in pursuit of Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer this summer – and Wolves fans are desperate for their club to land the impressive Norwegian.

Football website 90Min have claimed that all four Premier League clubs are interested in signing 22-year-old Ajer, but Brendan Rodgers is leading the charge for the Norway international – given the two worked together at Celtic.

Ajer has clocked up 129 appearances in all competitions since joining Celtic – bought for a bargain £500,000 from FK Start by Ronny Deila, though the defender only joined the club when Rodgers had taken charge.

Now, Ajer is looking to leave – at least that is, according to his agent. Ajer’s representative told the Record earlier this season that the defender will leave Celtic in the coming months, with a fee of £27million required (Sporten).

The Premier League quartet are not the only sides interested in Ajer, though. Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on Ajer but certainly, Leicester are leading the charge for the defender.

Wolves supporters, though, have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club want to sign Ajer in the coming months – and many believe he would be a solid addition for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
