Tottenham Hotspur continue to attempt to sign Giovani Lo Celso.
The north Londoners have been locked in negotiations for most of the summer, and time is fast running out for a deal to be completed.

The transfer window closes next week, and fans are worried the club’s endeavors will amount to nothing.
The club supposedly don’t want to meet the supposed €75 million/£69 million release clause and have only offered €50 million/£46 million so far this summer (Star).
Across the city, Arsenal are set to unveil Nicolas Pepe in a £72 million transfer, which is only increasing the angst for Spurs fans.
Realistically Spurs could do with the attacking midfielder in ahead of the 2019/20 season, especially having recorded impressive statistics of 16 goals and six assists in 46 games last term.
TBR’s view
One man who could really benefit from the club failing to sign Lo Celso before the deadline is Erik Lamela.

Lo Celso’s compatriot has been playing well in pre-season and the talented ace could have a lot to offer.
One would imagine, if Lo Celso signed, that he would not be handed many opportunities by Mauricio Pochettino with Dele Alli also providing competition.
The former AS Roma star is playing like a man whose place is under threat – perhaps a failed pursuit of Lo Celso wouldn’t be disastrous for Spurs, but only if £80,000-a-week Lamela (Spotrac) can stay fit.
