Leeds United are reportedly set to complete a move to sign highly-rated Lorient goalkeeper Illan Meslier after he starred at the Under-20 World Cup for France – and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter.
The Daily Star claim Leeds are close to confirming a deal for 19-year-old 6ft 6in giant Meslier, who has clocked up 30 senior appearances for Lorient and conceded just 32 goals – keeping 11 clean sheets in that time.
The Whites are set to be busy in the final 36 hours of the transfer window, with Liverpool star Ryan Kent being strongly linked with a permanent move to Elland Road – following Kemar Roofe’s exit to Anderlecht.
BBC Sport reported on Tuesday that Leeds had joined the race to sign Arsenal wonderkid Nketiah on loan, though they face enormous competition from plenty of clubs – including Fortuna Dusseldorf and Bristol City.

Meslier replaces the loss of Bailey Peacock-Farrell, who left Elland Road earlier this month to join Premier League side Burnley following Tom Heaton’s £8million move to Aston Villa.
Leeds fans reacted to the news that Leeds are about to sign Meslier with his medical booked for Wednesday, and the majority are intrigued over just how good the unknown goalkeeper is. Some, though, are not happy.
