Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen continues to be strongly linked with a move away from the north Londoners this summer.
The Denmark international has failed to sign a new deal with the club despite talks having been ongoing, and it looks like Spurs could be cashing in while they still can.
talkSPORT have been told by European football commentator Kevin Hatchard that there is a ‘very strong possibility’ that Real Madrid will land the maestro this summer.

He said: “The Eriksen thing is interesting because, while there has been talk about it for a long time, he hasn’t signed a new contract at Spurs.
“The feeling in Spain is that there is a very strong possibility Real Madrid will be able to get that deal done.”
With things looking bleak, Spurs must now start identifying potential replacements, and one man playing over in Portugal could fit the bill.
TBR’s view
Mauricio Pochettino should consider making a move for Sporting CP captain Bruno Fernandes as a replacement for Eriksen.
According to The Evening Standard, Manchester United have added him to their shortlist for this summer, but Spurs could really do with someone like him if Eriksen is to depart.

Fernandes is one of the top talents in Liga NOS. He is a creative player with an eye for goal, as evidenced by his record of 40 goals and 34 assists in just 99 appearances for Sporting.
This term he has registered an impressive 24 goals and 14 assists. Arguably he is ready to make the jump up to a European top five league now, and Spurs should ensure it’s them who get to sign him.
He would not come cheap given the fact he signed a new deal last summer, but hopefully the club would be able to raise enough from the Eriksen deal to fund a move.
