Man City have been dealt another blow in their pursuit of Tottenham attacker Harry Kane.

According to the Telegraph, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is remaining firm that the north London side won’t sell Kane this window despite City being very interested the striker.

Kane has been a target for Man City for the majority of the transfer window. With Sergio Aguero departing for FC Barcelona, a striker is needed for the Premier League champions.

And Kane appears to be the player City want to bring in this summer to replace their club icon. However, Tottenham are adamant that the striker won’t leave this window.

Levy has put a huge bounty over Kane’s head. And with City already breaking the British transfer record this summer to sign Jack Grealish, doing it for a second time looks unlikely at this stage.

Indeed, Kane appears to be drifting further away from the Premier League champions as the remaining days of the transfer window run down. However, on social media, supporters don’t seem too fazed by this update.

Moreover, the general reaction to the Kane news has been that City can now focus their efforts on signing Erling Haaland next summer from Borussia Dortmund.
