How many fans can willingly say the name of Wilson Palacios slips off the tongue when talking about Premier League midfielders of the past decade or so? We’d imagine, not too many.
Well, that is unless you’re a Tottenham Hotspur fan of course. Palacios was a key figure for Spurs from 2008 to 2011 and went on to make more than 80 appearances for the club. Of course, he departed for Stoke City for around £6m in that 2011 season and never quite got back to his very best with the Potters.

For Tottenham, though, the Honduran was a good and solid midfield player. And for Palacios, he seems to have enjoyed his time so much at the club that he’s found his way back to North London in 2022.
Doing the rounds on Twitter, the SpursWeb account shared a photo of Palacios inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of today’s clash with Wolves.
As we know, Palacios might not have enjoyed what he saw in the end. Wolves were dominant and showed Antonio Conte once again that there is so much work to be done with this Spurs squad.
Would Conte love someone with the bite of Palacios right now? You wouldn’t bet against it!
