Willian replies to Roberto Firmino’s Instagram after Liverpool winner

Willian was amongst those to send a message to Roberto Firmino on Instagram after the forward scored the dramatic winning goal in Liverpool’s win on Wednesday.

The Reds are back on the top of the Premier League. It had appeared that their clash with Tottenham was heading for a 1-1 draw, with Son Heung-min cancelling out Mohamed Salah’s opener.

However, Firmino produced an outstanding header as stoppage-time loomed to secure the three points for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

It was clear just how much the goal meant to the Brazilian. It was his first since the win against Leicester back in November.

And it prompted international teammate Willian to reply to his Instagram post with the term ‘Craque’. The term is common in Brazilian football, and means ‘the ace’.

Of course, Willian’s comment seems particularly significant given who the header came against. Arsenal have had little to get excited about this season. And Willian has been one of those who has really struggled since arriving at the Emirates in the summer.

But seeing Spurs knocked off top spot will have presumably given Gunners fans a little something to smile about.
