It has taken less than a week of the winter transfer window for Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale to have been linked with a move back to the Premier League with Manchester United. This follows reports, as per the Daily Mail, that he is once again unsettled in the Spanish capital.

Following a lack of attacking potency in the Red Devils’ performances this term, it is perhaps unsurprising to see a player of Bale’s playing style linked with a move to Old Trafford. Louis van Gaal’s side could certainly benefit from the addition of his quality, not least to inject an element of flair in the final third.

The Welshman ranks as Madrid’s third highest scorer this season, having hit the back of the net nine times in just 13 appearances. Meanwhile, he has weighed in with an impressive 33 key passes – second to only Luka Modric – and seven assists. He has also found success in 1.6 dribbles per appearance.

In The United Stand‘s latest video, host Mark Goldbridge discusses Gareth Bale’s proposed move to Old Trafford. Is there truth in the rumours? Does the Welshman fit the bill at Old Trafford? Is he the answer to the club’s current attacking woes? Watch the latest video to hear the latest analysis and opinion.
