Will Leeds winger Ezgjan Alioski begin to repay Marcelo Bielsa?

Leeds United were beaten 4-2 away to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday in the Championship and it means they have now lost their last two consecutive fixtures.

The Whites remain top of the league table by two points, but have hit a mini blip after a seven-game winning run.

Ezgjan Alioski is a player that has been a regular starter all season for the Yorkshire giants and plays on the wing.

Manager Marcelo Bisla has shown great faith in him by continuing to start him, despite the fact his form has been non-existent in recent games and before Tuesday has hadn’t scored since September.

But the 26-year-old at least gave a good individual account of himself in the defeat to Forest and looked back to his best.

The Macedonia international did get on the scoresheet with a close-range finish and also delivered some quality balls into the penalty area.

Alioski will hope it can be the catalyst moving forward for him to start performing on a weekly basis and there is now competition in wide areas for the starting roles.

The left-footed ace has the main criticism over his head that he’s inconsistent, but the manager clearly loves his work-rate and it would be good to see him start delivering more in the final third.
