Leeds United travel to Wigan Athletic on Sunday in the Championship and all eyes will be on Marcelo Bielsa’s team selection.
The Whites will be hoping to close the two-point gap to league leaders Sheffield United and continue their push for promotion this season.
Leeds are preparing to face a Wigan side that are struggling right now and are out of form, having lost three of their last four league fixtures.
Wigan have slipped down to 14th in the league table and have lost a lot of momentum after a promising start to the campaign.
They may be the perfect opponents for Bielsa to hand teenage sensation Jack Clarke his first ever start for Leeds.
Clarke is a product of the club’s highly-rated academy and has been eased into the first team this season, with three appearances as a substitute in the league already.
The 17-year-old has made brilliant cameos off the bench with his dribbling and directness, which is why the weekend could be the perfect time to throw him into the XI.
He hasn’t looked out of place at senior level and certainly has a case to start given the form of some of his teammates in wide areas.
Clarke is a fearless attacker that could provide a spark for Leeds and Bielsa could well have a riot on his hands if he doesn’t play him from the off, as a large portion of supporters are desperate to see him in the team.
