Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Gabriel Jesus will be on the move this summer amid Arsenal links.

In recent days, reports have emerged claiming the Gunners are looking to sign the Manchester City forward.

The Athletic claimed that Arsenal director Edu and Jesus’ representatives have been in talks for months.

The outlet says sources view the Gunners as current favourites to recruit him.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta worked with Jesus in his previous role at City.

And the Gunners are likely to bolster their attacking ranks at the end of the season.

Romano took to Twitter on Saturday to claim that Jesus will definitely leave in the summer.

With City seemingly trying for Erling Haaland, this would push the 25-year-old down the pecking order.

Jesus’ contract expires in 2023, so this summer is the last chance City have of getting a sizeable fee.

Romano also said Arsenal are “serious” about him, as per Jorge Nicola and David Ornstein’s reports.

However, he stressed that there haven’t been any direct talks between clubs, and no bids have been made.

“Good things are going to happen in his life”

On Saturday, Jesus gave everyone a reminder of his quality with four goals in a 5-1 Premier League win over Norwich.

The Brazil international is now on 11 goals and 12 assists for the season.

“I said before if there is one person in world football who deserves nights like he had it is him,” Guardiola told the City website post-match.

“I am pretty sure there is not one person who knows him who is not happy for him.

“He always has chances, scores goals and gets assists and I think what a lot of people have realised is what he can do without the ball.

“When he doesn’t play, the day after he is training like it’s the last day. That’s why he will have an incredible long and successful career.

“Good things are going to happen in his life, that’s for sure.”
