Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka was once again his side’s standout player on Wednesday night, as they earned a 1-1 draw away to Everton in the Premier League.

The 29-year-old is certainly the lynchpin for Rafael Benitez’s side with his exceptional performances becoming a regular occurrence.

According to Calcio Mercato, Newcastle’s shot-stopper has been lined up by Serie A giants Juventus to compete for their number one spot alongside Wojciech Szczesny.

Dubravka continues to turn in top-class displays for the Magpies, so will interest from the Italian club intensify come the January transfer window?

The North East club will certainly be backed into a corner financially if Juventus do make an approach to sign him, as the Champions League side massively outweigh them.

Dubravka should take interest from elite clubs as a personal prize, but he needs to continue his high levels of consistency.

The Slovakia international appears to be make a handful of brilliant saves in every game and it’s a big reason why Rafael Benitez’s side are 14th in the league table, with a three point cushion over the relegation places.

Dubravka has shown at St James’ Park that he’s got the quality to play for a team competing at the top end of any major European league and the club should be thrilled they have hold of him for now.

The goalkeeper turned in another masterclass against Everton and his stock will only continue to rise if he performs over the festive period.
