Will Fulham’s Championship run-in allow them to avoid relegation?

Possible Results: Nottingham Forest (H), Preston North End (A)

These are two matches in which Fulham should hope for a win, but could realistically settle for a draw. Nottingham Forest at home presents an alluring match-up as Forest are on a run of poor form, gaining just four points from their last six matches. Fulham were dismantled by Forest in the reverse fixture earlier this season, yet the home match provides a decent opportunity to gain some points.

The away match against Preston will also present a chance for Fulham to put more distance between themselves and the relegation zone. Preston are comfortably mid-table; and residing 10th in the league, nine points off the play-off places. Realistically, relegation and promotion are off the table for the Lilywhites, which will hopefully give Fulham a chance to grind out a result. The away match at Deepdale looks similar to last week’s match against Birmingham, and a draw would be a positive result for Fulham.
