Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has heaped tremendous praise on Everton attacker Richarlison ahead of the Merseyside derby.
The Toffees travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on Sunday in the Premier League, as manager Marco Silva prepares for his first taste of the colossal fixture.
Klopp has bigged up his upcoming opponents before Sunday’s league fixture and gave a special mention to Brazil international Richarlison, who he will be hoping to keep quiet.
“He (Silva) brought in Richarlison, what a player he is,” Klopp said in his pre-match press conference, as cited by the Liverpool Echo.
Richarlison must not allow Klopp’s hype about him to get into his head and continue to play his natural game when he steps out on to the pitch at Anfield.
The 21-year-old has quickly become a big favourite at Everton since his summer move from Watford and become the first-choice centre-forward in recent times.
He’s already chalked up six league goals this season and scoring against Liverpool would surely be the best of the bunch if he can achieve that.
But he’ll have to be on top form to get the better of Liverpool colossus Virgil Van Dijk, who is considered by many as the best centre-back in the Premier League.
Richarlison certainly has the individual ability to create a goal out of nothing while he’s got a tremendous work-rate and he can move to the next level if he turns into a match-winger in the Merseyside derby.
