A number of Everton fans have been giving their thoughts on Twitter after Goodison Park academy graduate Luke Garbutt linked up with his first club since leaving the Toffees.
The 27-year-old joined the Everton academy from Leeds United for an initial £600,000 fee back in 2009.
However, Garbutt went on to make just 12 competitive first-team appearances for Everton, and had six loan stints during his time on the Toffees’ books.

The left-back, who was released by Everton in the summer, has now joined Blackpool, penning a 12-month deal with the League One club.
And some Toffees fans were pleased to see their former gem back with a club, telling the Tangerines fans they’ve got a good player on their hands:
There were high hopes for Garbutt as he progressed through the Everton ranks but unfortunately he didn’t quite manage to make the grade at Goodison Park.
However, he impressed on loan at Ipswich last season, and quite a few Blues fans were disappointed to have missed out on him, as were Sunderland fans, who were linked with him.
Garbutt will now hope to help Blackpool to promotion from League One, the Seasiders having finished 13th last season as the campaign was curtailed in March.
