The transfer window will finally shut completely this evening, after being left slightly ajar for Premier League clubs to do business with those in the Football League.
For Arsenal, it looks unlikely that will mean any incomings.
However, there are some players that might be on their way out of the club before the end of the day.
One such player is a young expensive new recruit who has only just arrived at the club. William Saliba spent last season on loan at Saint-Etienne after completing a big-money move to the Gunners from the French side. A return move to the French club fell through at the last minute and that has led to rumours of a potential move away.
The Frenchman has been linked with both Brentford and Watford, as a potential chance to gain first-team football in England.
However, Mikel Arteta has suggested in his pre-match press conference ahead of the weekend that Saliba, or any Arsenal player in that case, is unlikely to leave on loan.

Despite that, Emile Smith-Rowe will no doubt be interesting Championship clubs looking for new players. He finished last season in fine form at Huddersfield Town but it does look like Smith-Rowe might be in the Arsenal manager’s plans for the Europa League.
The only likely options might be Matt Macey and Folarin Balogun. The latter has been wanted by the likes of Brentford and Stuttgart recently but might be better off having another year in the under-23s.
Macey, on the other hand, is keen on an exit. The goalkeeper, who is behind Bernd Leno and Runar Alex Runarsson in the pecking order, told The Telegraph a month ago that he was desperate to go and play first-team football. But with Arsenal not having another third-choice option, Macey might struggle to get his wish.
So it looks like Macey would be the most likely departure but, Arteta seems happy with the current squad and it is very likely nobody makes a move away from The Emirates today.
