At the weekend Everton were linked with a move to bring in Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace. The report, from The Sun, suggested he had been earmarked as the long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman at Goodison Park.
The report also claimed that Ademola Lookman, who Everton fought tooth and nail to keep in the summer, could be used as a sweetener in any potential deal.
Bissaka is an excellent player and Everton are right to be considering him as an option. However, if there is a Palace player they should be lining up Lookman in exchange for, it is Wilfried Zaha.

As reported by The Mirror this summer, Everton were keen on signing the Ivory Coast winger in the summer. However, Palace’s lofty £70 million demands made a deal unlikely and for the second summer running, he signed a new deal at Selhurst Park.
However, Crystal Palace have not built on their positive end to last season and Zaha must be considering his future.
Marco Silva and Marcel Brands could easily try and convince him that he would be pushing Everton into the elite by arriving at Goodison Park. In the summer, Everton valued Lookman at over £20 million when RB Leipzig came calling. So that could knock a significant amount off of Palace’s asking price. The fact Lookman would be a like-for-like replacement would also help negotiations.
If Everton are to swap Lookman for any Palace player in the summer then Zaha is the man they must target.
