Wilfried Zaha comments give boost to both Arsenal and Everton

Arsenal and Everton have been handed a potential transfer boost after Wilfried Zaha conceded he may well leave Crystal Palace again in the future.

Both clubs were credited with an interest in the winger in the past. However, Zaha stayed put at Selhurst Park as he continues to help steer Roy Hodgson’s men away from danger.

The former Man United speedster has been in excellent form once again for Palace. Despite not finding the net as much as he’d like (three goals and three assists this term), Zaha has been key for Hodgson.

Zaha has proved to be the ace in the pack for Palace. He is often man-marked or doubled up on during games, leaving space for others to exploit.

But Palace fans may well worry following Zaha’s latest comments. Indeed, in an interview with the Mirror, the 27-year-old admitted he may well move elsewhere if the chance arises.

“I feel with the talent that God has given me, I feel I can keep improving and there will be other opportunities,” Zaha said.

“I will always love Palace. I’ve been here since I was 8 years old. But I am ambitious, I feel I can go to the next level so if there is an opportunity I feel like I can’t say no to it.”

Those comments seemingly open the door for clubs to make their move. Both Arsenal and Everton, then, will no doubt be keeping a close eye on his situation.

An inevitable move – TBR View

There’s definitely an air of inevitability about Zaha’s Crystal Palace future. As good as he is and despite being the main man at the club, it’s clear he wants to test himself.

Indeed, he admits in the interview that he’d have loved more opportunities at Manchester United. That, then, seems to be driving him on somewhat.

However, in fairness to Zaha, he does get his head down and play. He works hard for his team and will no doubt help them to safety this season again.

That in itself is enough from Zaha so Palace will no doubt send him on his way with their best wishes if Arsenal or Everton do decide to follow up their interest.
