Liverpool have revealed their third kit for the 2021/22 season.
The Reds posted on their official Twitter account the yellow and red strip that will act as their alternative away shirt for the season. Liverpool have worn yellow in recent years, with this third kit clearly being inspired by previous campaigns.
The 2014/15 season was the last time Liverpool wore yellow. That year was memorable for all the wrong reasons for the Red. The Merseyside club crashed out of the UEFA Champions League group stages and lost an FA Cup semi-final to Aston Villa.

Indeed, it was also the year that the likes of Mario Balotelli and Lazar Markovic joined the club. Whilst Luis Suarez departed for FC Barcelona.
However, whilst Liverpool have had some excellent yellow shirts over the years, this third kit has not gone down too with supporters. The chequered collar, in particular, has been criticised by fans.

Moreover, on social media, fans were fuming with the final design of the third kit. With Liverpool fans in disgust over how it looks.
Here’s what some supporters had to say on Twitter about the reveal of the Liverpool third kit…
