HSV produced an impressive performance to win 4-0 at home against Mainz, and the Tottenham Hotspur loanee played a key role in helping to keep a clean sheet.

The defender has been so good that the German media have nicknamed him ‘Air Vuskovic’, due to his insane aerial ability.

Hamburger SV fans are calling Luka Vuskovic’s performance against Mainz ‘insane’ as the defender once again stepped up for the German club.

Following a dismal start to the season, HSV are starting to turn their fortunes around, and that has coincided with Vuskovic coming into the team.

The Bundesliga’s newly promoted side are now three games unbeaten and have moved up into ninth place in the table.

Vuskovic has already scored his first Bundesliga goal and continues to prove his incredible abilities as a defender.

After the game, HSV fans have taken to social media to hail the 18-year-old and are amazed by his performance this season.

Once again, the defender’s performance also earned an impressive review from the media, who hailed his defensive attributes.

The defender was spotted on several occasions celebrating every time he won a tackle, and against Mainz, he managed a remarkable 17 clearances.

After the game, Hamburger Abendblatt wrote: “No one celebrates winning a tackle on the touchline as much as the 18-year-old. He defended everything, and he can kick, too.”
