Midfielders

Arguably Palace’s best area of the pitch, the midfield this season oozes with quality; so much so that players like Joe Ledley and Mile Jedinak have found playing time rarer this time round. The Eagles may even have a better midfield than Leicester.

The flair and creativity of Riyad Mahrez is matched by Yannick Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha’s presence on the flanks and Jason Puncheon’s utility behind the main striker.  Meanwhile, the industry of N’golo Kante is seen in James McArthur’s work this season and backed up by Mile Jedinak’s excellence in the holding midfield role.

Last but not least, Palace’s marquee summer signing, Yohan Cabaye is possibly the difference maker when comparing the two club’s midfields.

The Frenchman, a pedigreed creative influence, has injected creative quality and composure into Palace, something which undoubtedly lacked during Neil Warnock’s, Tony Pulis’, and Ian Holloway’s reigns.

He is undoubtedly a step above Leicester’s Danny Drinkwater.
