One the biggest and most historical Premier League rivalries is set to be reignited this weekend as two under pressure managers come head to head at Anfield.
Liverpool’s recent poor form, culminating in a 3-1 defeat to relegation-battling Leicester, has got some questioning Jurgen Klopp’s future. Whilst in the away dugout, Arsene Wenger will be aware that his lengthy managerial tenure at the Gunners is approaching its final straight.
Both sides are fairly unpredictable at the best of times, but who would be selected for a combined Arsenal-Liverpool XI – if both side’s rosters were fully fit.
GK: Petr Cech
Easiest pick of the whole XI. Liverpool’s current crop of dodgy goalkeepers are nowhere near as reliable or legendary as Petr Cech. The former Chelsea keeper will play a pivotal role in this weekend’s game against a powerful Liverpool attack.
RB: Hector Bellerin
The young Spaniard has been a revelation for the Gunners over the last few years. His pace and attacking instinct trumps Nathaniel Clyne’s.
