Neil Warnock
A short term solution at most, Warnock could well be the man to keep City up. Living in Cornwall and oft linked with Bristol City, the 67 year old Yorkshire man would take the job if offered.
Last seen as caretaker at QPR, Warnock has a wealth of experience in the second tier and above. Nicknamed Colin W**ker (anagram of Neil Warnock) by a minority of City fans due to numerous run-ins with the club in the past – notably Freddie Sears’ ghost goal when Crystal Palace played at Ashton Gate.
The allegations of “cheaters” Warnock made at the time would be long forgotten if he kept the club in the second tier. The ex-Sheffield United and Leeds boss is one of the more likely appointments to Bristol City, with a bigger “name” following in the summer if he were to keep City up.
