David Moyes

David Moyes is perhaps the most unlikely of this list, and would be a massive coup for Bristol City if he were to sign. However, he did enjoy a spell as a player in BS3 in the 1980s and always speaks highly of the club. Despite some United fans hounding him out of Old Trafford, his record is nonetheless impressive and daresay looks improved in light of van Gaal’s recent run of results and nature of performances.

The step down to the Championship from Real Sociedad and Manchester United will probably be too much for the Scotsman, and in any instance Moyes may not be the man to get City out of a relegation dogfight – like Pearson he would be more enticed in the summer if City have secured Championship status, and enter the 2015/16 in a spanking new 27,000 Ashton Gate, but still remains very much an improbable appointment.
