Conclusion

Unfortunately for the Robins, the appointment is unlikely to be a big “name” at this moment in time. In this writer’s humble (and almost worthless) opinion, the possibility of Pemberton or Warnock appointed to the end of the season to steady the ship to entice a bigger “name” in the summer with guaranteed Championship football and a newly developed 27,000 seater stadium is the most likely course of action.

Then expect an appointment of the Pearson ilk, or failing that Paul Tisdale. If Pemberton struggles to keep City above the drop zone, a Warnock or Monk type of appointment will be made in the not too distant future. That’s what I believe the plans “A” and “B” are for the Bristol City board of directors, whether it’ll work or not is another matter.
