After watching Chelsea brush aside Everton and the two Manchester clubs struggle against opponents in the relegation zone, all eyes were on White Hart Lane as Tottenham hosted their fierce rivals Arsenal.
Fans had already seen one drab derby this week, as Manchester United drew 0-0 with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, and during the first half, the North London Derby wasn’t exactly an enthralling encounter.
However, the game changed after the break as Tottenham switched from the 5-2-2-1 that they used for the majority of the first-half, to a 4-2-3-1. Catching Arsenal off guard, Dele Alli broke past two Arsenal defenders before finding himself with an open net, after some good work by Christian Eriksen.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men were two goals to the good shortly after as Harry Kane scored from the spot. The Englishman went down fairly easily to win the penalty but he finished it into the bottom corner superbly.
Tottenham’s win means that they will finish above Arsenal for the first time in 22 years, but first, who was your Man of the Match in the last North London Derby at White Hart Lane?
