In a shock result, Burnley came back from behind to hold the current league leaders thanks to a superb Robbie Brady free-kick to earn a valuable point and prevent Chelsea from running away with the league.
Pedro opened the scoring in just the seventh minute, only moments after Eden Hazard had gone close. At that point, the Spaniard’s cool finish looked as if it would be just the first of many with Sean Dyche’s side set up to avoid conceding. Having lost every game in which they have conceded first this campaign, the omens were not on the side of the home team at Turf Moor.
Brady’s free-kick not long before half-time drew them back level though and looped over N’Golo Kante in the Chelsea wall and into the top corner, and whilst the Clarets did not manage a shot on target in the second half, they prevented Antonio Conte’s team from ever really threatening either.
