Liverpool are showing an interest in Isaque Severino Silva of Fluminense.

It was Globo Esporte – one of the largest news outlets in South America – who claimed that the Reds have enquired about Isaque, and you can see why.

Fluminense have already rejected a bid for Isaque

Isaque – who has a similar name to Alexander Isak, another Liverpool target – is also being pursued by other clubs across Europe.

Globo Esporte add that Manchester City, who could lose Savinho, also asked about the South American prodigy, whereas Shakhtar Donetsk have already made a €7m (£6m) bid – which was rejected by Fluminense, although a larger offer is expected.

The Brazilian news outlet add that Fluminense only handed Isaque a new contract as recently as February and is considered a “gem” by those inside the club, so it might be tough for Liverpool to strike a deal for a reasonable fee.
