Niguez may be potentially the least attainable of the three players, but the 21-year-old Spaniard is a player who is most definitely at least worth considering.

Niguez; who currently plays for Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid, can play as a defensive or central midfielder and has scored eight times in 47 games for the Spanish giants, even occasionally figuring on the flanks if his Argentine coach requires it.

At just 21 years of age, Saul Niguez has an extremely promising future, making it harder for a club like Southampton to obtain his signature, especially considering they are not currently able to offer Champions League football to the youngster.

However, he may look to Southampton to get more playing time and experience under his belt and would undoubtedly fill the void Wanyama will leave behind.
