Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Christian Pulisic in January.
The 20-year-old is thought to be a target of Jurgen Klopp’s, who might be looking to take advantage of his links to Borussia Dortmund, given he was their manager for seven years and was in charge when Pulisic first joined.

Pulisic recently put big clubs on alert by suggesting he’d be open to a move to the Premier League.
The Reds are long-term admirers of his, after seeing him develop into one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting young talents.
At the moment, Pulisic is in direct competition with rising Englishman Jadon Sancho and is therefore not seeing the amount of game time he would usually.
There could well be a January bid from Liverpool, but if Klopp managed to get him, where would he even fit?
Shaqiri place under threat?
Pulisic is a handy player but Liverpool have a a big squad that oozes talent and versatility.
Pulisic can play as a winger or as a number 10.

It’s difficult to see him dislodging any one of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino or Sadio Mane.
Perhaps his best chance of him starting games reguarly at Anfield would be in a central role, which could be bad news for Xherdan Shaqiri.
But the Swiss star has impressed hugely since joining the club from Stoke City in the summer.

Bringing in Pulisic would provide direct competition for Shaqiri when perhaps it is not needed, given the amount of other options also available to Klopp like Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain when he recovers from injury.
The American is a fabulous player, but the German coach would surely have to sell some other players for the proposed move to make sense.
