With the Chilean leaving Manchester City this summer to be replaced by Pep Guardiola, Pellegrini will be without a club.

The 62-year-old has expressed a desire to remain in England despite being replaced at the Etihad and is able to boast an impressive 63% win rate with the former champions.

Pellegrini was known for his attacking style of football at City, something Martinez aimed for, but was arguably the cause of his downfall as his defence suffered.

One question would be whether Pellegrini could replicate his style of play at Everton considering he had the likes of Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva at his disposal.

However, with the array of young talent and potential at Everton, paired with the new Billionaire stakeholder Farhad Moshiri there to supply funds, Pellegrini could see it as an exciting new project.
