It has been a campaign of disappointment for Everton supporters and now they are set to end the season manager-less following the sacking of Roberto Martinez.

Following a string of poor results, most recently a 3-0 defeat to Sunderland, the 42-year-old’s three-year spell on Merseyside came to a disappointing end.

With the likes of Romelu Lukaku, John Stones and Ross Barkley in the squad, Everton should arguably be competing for a European place but having picked up just four points since the 5th of Match, the Spaniard’s contract was terminated.

The only bright moment this season was reaching the semi-final of the FA Cup but Everton lost 2-1 against Manchester United at Wembley following a last-gasp Anthony Martial winner.
