Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira has delivered his verdict on Tottenham Hotspur under Antonio Conte over the last six weeks.
Spurs appointed the Italian in November and they’ve definitely improved. Conte is a world-class manager and if there’s one man who can turn Tottenham’s fortunes around, it’s him.
Vieira, who only joined Crystal Palace in the summer, has surprised a few people. His Eagles side look really good and their next opponents are Tottenham, if the game goes on as scheduled this afternoon.
The Frenchman, who is a legend at Spurs’ fierce rivals Arsenal, was quizzed about Tottenham under Conte, and he only had nice words to say.
Patrick Vieira: Tottenham under Conte play with a lot of energy
The Crystal Palace boss said, as per The Daily Mail: “Tottenham is a really difficult place to go, the atmosphere, the players’ energy when they play at home, it is really good. We know what to expect so what is important for us is to play with courage, to play with confidence and belief to give ourselves the best chance to get the result.
“We know it will be difficult but we can make it as well difficult for them.
“This is a team who plays with a lot of energy. When you look at their front players, it is not just about the running they are doing but it is about the intensity they are playing the game.
“It is about how good they are to create chances and score goals. Yes, we expect a tough challenge but we will be at our best. We will work hard and be ready to compete.”

TBR View:
Tottenham looked very beatable under Nuno Espirito Santo but that has changed now. Conte has made them a lot more competitive and they will only improve in the coming weeks and months.
Vieira was fantastic as a player against Tottenham all those years ago. He has started well as a manager too, with his biggest win as Crystal Palace boss coming against Spurs when the Eagles beat them 3-0 at Selhurst Park back in September.
Spurs will be a lot tougher to beat this time around, but the Eagles will fancy themselves. They are more than capable of getting the better of the North Londoners again, which makes this fixture a really interesting one.
