Tottenham Hotspur hope that Destiny Udogie will be available for their next game against Aston Villa after he was left out of the Italy squad due to injury.
That is according to a report from The Athletic, which notes that the 20-year-old has been focused on shaking off a hamstring injury which ruled him out of the win over Crystal Palace in late October.
Destiny Udogie has been one of several revelations for Tottenham so far this season. Few would have anticipated that the youngster would hit the ground running with such ease. However, he looks to be absolutely perfect for Ange Postecoglou‘s system.
Tottenham hope to have Destiny Udogie back for next game
But it has been an eventful few weeks for the full-back. He missed the win over Crystal Palace due to a hamstring injury before returning for Spurs’ next game.

That next game proved to be that remarkable defeat to Chelsea, during which Udogie received a lot of criticism after being sent off for two yellow cards.
He was suspended for the loss to Wolves before the break. And Tottenham fans would have been concerned when he did not join up with the Italy squad.
But it seems that Spurs are optimistic that he will be available after the break, with The Athletic reporting that they are hopeful that he will feature against Aston Villa this weekend.
Much-needed boost for Spurs
That news may not come as a huge surprise as Udogie was seemingly still keen to go away with Italy this month despite the issue.
Tottenham will be thankful that the injury is not serious. Unfortunately, that game against Chelsea proved to be a lot more damaging than just a defeat, with Micky van de Ven and James Maddison both sustaining injuries.
Maddison is not expected to play again this year. Meanwhile, van de Ven is also facing several weeks out.
So not losing Udogie for a lengthy period is a big boost for a Tottenham side who will be desperate to not throw away their brilliant start to the season.
