TBR Football can exclusively confirm the latest developments involving Manchester United and Bryan Mbeumo.

Manchester United have been in pursuit of Mbeumo for a number of weeks now as Ruben Amorim looks to add more firepower to his squad.

Talks between Man United and Brentford appeared to stall earlier this week, but the Red Devils have now upped their offer.

TBR Football can confirm that Man United are confident of this deal going through – indeed, they now have a timescale for when they hope to sign him.

Manchester United are confident of Bryan Mbeumo deal being completed by the weekend

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands Manchester United have increased their offer for Bryan Mbeumo and hope to complete his signing this weekend.

Sources from both Man United and Brentford have told TBR Football that the deal will go through.

United have been locked in talks with Brentford over a deal for weeks and have officially seen two bids rejected.

Now United have come back and offered a deal that could be worth up to £70million for the Cameroon star.

It is an offer of £65million in guaranteed money plus attainable add-ons and United believe that this is the right deal to get the move done.

Mbeumo himself has made it clear to Brentford he wants to join United, having rejected overtures from Newcastle and Tottenham.

United had told Mbeumo that they were confident of him being on their pre-season tour to America and they hope that is now the case.

“United sources have always had confidence of getting this deal done,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.

“But now we are told from the Brentford end that this new offer will be enough, it is what they wanted.

“Mbeumo has been waiting to do his medical all this month.”

Stan Collymore previously described Mbeumo as an “excellent” player and said he was his favourite Premier League ace.

What Bryan Mbeumo has done that Manchester United ‘really appreciate’

Mbeumo himself has stayed under the radar throughout the saga, which Man United really appreciate.

“They like his attitude and the way he’s conducted himself,” Bailey said. “Not every player stays professional in these situations.

“He hasn’t caused a stir or tried to force a move. United see that as a sign that he’s the right fit for the club.”
