Tottenham fans watched on in shock tonight as Liverpool won comfortably in north London, while Harry Kane also picked up an injury.
Spurs did have an early goal disallowed but were behind just before the break when Bobby Firmino scored for Liverpool. Trent Alexander-Arnold then hit a second, before a surprise Hojbjerg goal got Spurs back into the game.
However, Sadio Mane added a third to put the game out of reach for Spurs. The Reds also saw a goal from Mo Salah ruled out prior to that Mane strike.
For Spurs fans, there was little to celebrate and one of the big questions a lot of supporters had on Twitter was the decision to not bring Carlos Vinicius on when Kane went off. Mourinho, instead, going with Erik Lamela.
That was the hot topic of discussion tonight on social media. And some Spurs fans couldn’t get their head around the call from Mourinho, as a number of supporters questioned where Vinicius was.
