Timo Werner has only played one match for Tottenham, yet it hasn’t taken long for the former Chelsea star to leave an impact with the north London side.
The 27-year-old Germany international was named in the starting XI this weekend as Spurs took on Manchester United at Old Trafford in a massive Premier League clash.
With Werner claiming an assist in what was to be a 2-2 draw, the RB Leipzig-owned attacker impressed on his Tottenham debut, with Micky van de Ven impressed with his new teammate.
Yet pre-match, there was a comedic moment caught on film by the YouTube channel Tottenham Fan Chris Cowlin which captured Werner not knowing that Spurs did a pre-match huddle.
Indeed, the image of Werner running away from his teammates blissfully unaware that a pre-match huddle was taking place is an enjoyable image, to say the least.
And with the forward impressing on his first match for Tottenham, supporters could quickly have a new fan-favourite in Werner if the attacker can maintain this level of form.
Tottenham could soon have a new cult hero in Timo Werner

The old saying in football ‘never fall in love with a loan signing’ might have lost some relevance in recent years in the Premier League, yet the quote could soon relate to Werner and Tottenham.
The former Chelsea man was impressive on his first start for the north London side, with Werner coming close to scoring against the Red Devils on numerous occasions.
Once the rust has worn off, there’s no telling how good Werner could become for Tottenham, with the forward already looking at home under Ange Postecoglou.
