TBR Football have now received information on Pape Sarr after Thomas Frank dropped the Senegal international at Tottenham.

The Spurs No.29 was a regular in the starting XI at the beginning of the campaign – playing 90 minutes in three of the first four Premier League games – but has since had to settle for a place on the bench.

Many Tottenham fans are consequently wondering if there has been an issue between Thomas Frank and Pape Sarr – but TBR Football understand it is nothing of the sort.

Exclusive: No problem between Pape Sarr and Thomas Frank as the Dane continues search for his best team

Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent for TBR Football – can now confirm that Sarr is simply a victim of Frank searching for his best starting XI at Spurs at the moment.

There has been no fallout between the pair whatsoever.

After reaching out to Spurs for comment, Bailey said: β€œTottenham insist there are no issues with Sarr, he is part of the squad – a big part. Frank is still assessing his options and how best to use them.

β€œWe know (Joao) Palhinha and (Rodrigo) Bentancur are huge figures for him, but Frank has made it clear to the squad that they are exactly that – a squad – and Sarr is a clear part of that.”

Tottenham are set to lose Sarr anyway for potentially as many as seven Premier League games this winter when he heads off to the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal, so there is some value for Spurs in getting used to the 23-year-old not starting.

Pape Sarr made a strong first impression on Thomas Frank

TBR Football understand Sarr was one of the first to impress Frank after he replaced Ange Postecoglou, along with Brennan Johnson.

The Senegalese prodigy is also tied to Tottenham until July 2030, so he will have plenty of time to break into the starting XI on a regular basis and hopefully fulfil his potential in N17.
