Tottenham Hotspur have now seen 12 players depart the club this summer in the transfer window with another soon to follow.

It has certainly been the summer of change which Ange Postecoglou promised at the end of last season with huge player turnover.

Daniel Levy and Johan Lange have worked well in getting their unwanted players out of the door in north London.

Departure number 13 appears to be nearing with Tottenham agreeing a £20m deal with Leicester City for Oliver Skipp on Sunday.

But not all of the exits have been on a permanent basis with the likes of Jamie Donley leaving recently on loan to join Leyton Orient for the season.

Another player who Spurs have also loaned out is Bryan Gil and the Spaniard has just made his debut for Girona in La Liga on Thursday.

What the Spanish media said about Bryan Gil’s Girona debut

The imminent departure of Skipp is unlikely to be the last from north London with Giovani Lo Celso also pushing to leave Tottenham before the end of the month.

Lo Celso has also spent time in La Liga previously but it Gil who finds himself back in his homeland now playing for Girona.

The Spanish media have now had their first look £21m forward in a Girona match in a competitive game.

Girona opened their La Liga campaign on Thursday night with an away game against Real Betis where they had to settle for a point.

Gil started the game and played 81 minutes before being taken off after starting on the right wing.

And it was apparent he impressed the Spanish media as Mundo Deportivo hailed him as ‘outstanding’.

‘He didn’t start on his favourite wing, the left, but he ended up adapting phenomenally and getting better as the minutes went by in the match,’ said journalist Alex Luna.

‘Even so, the audacity of the Tottenham loanee was key to what happened later, the revolution of the match with the youngsters Misehouy and Iker Almena, with the arrival of the final equaliser.’

Bryan Gil seriously impressed for Girona vs Real Betis

Clearly, Gil is a player who shines in La Liga having spent plenty of his career in the Spanish top flight.

Spurs bought him from Sevilla where he had shown his potential before making the move to north London.

And he has even returned on numerous loan spells to play in his homeland but there has been no permanent move on offer for him.

Here is how Gil got on in his Girona debut…

Clearly, this was an all-action display from Gil and will hopefully do Spurs a big boost in trying to find hima permanent home for next season.
