Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has been linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers ahead of deadline day.
The 26-year-old has slipped down the pecking order after the arrival of David Raya from Brentford and played just 11 times across all competitions last season.
Arsenal are keen to offload four players before the transfer deadline and the Englishman is believed to be one of them as they aim to make room for potential incomings.
Wolves have made an offer to sign Ramsdale but are keen on snapping him up on an initial loan deal.
As Ramsdale’s future hangs in the balance, talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook believes a tense couple of days are in the offing for the Arsenal goalkeeper.
Alex Crook gives the latest on Aaron Ramsdale’s move to Wolves

Crook confirmed that while Arsenal have received an offer for Ramsdale, they are yet to get back to Wolves with an official response.
The talkSPORT journalist says Southampton and Nottingham Forest are also interested in snapping him up before deadline day.
“We know that Wolves have got an offer of a loan deal with an option to buy on the table,” Crook said on talkSPORT (9:26 AM, Aug 20th).
“That hasn’t been rejected yet, but I am told by sources close to Ramsdale that there’s a long way to go in that one.
“Southampton like him as well, and so do Nottingham Forest, so I think certainly he is one we are going to be talking about a lot in the next 10 days or so.”
How can Arsenal replace Ramsdale?
If Ramsdale were to depart, Raya would be the only senior goalkeeper in the Arsenal squad as Karl Hein sealed a loan move to Real Valladolid earlier this summer.
Mikel Arteta will undoubtedly dip into the transfer market for a goalkeeper and if reports at to be believed, he has already identified Ramsdale’s replacement.
Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia and are likely to press ahead with a deal for the Spaniard if Ramsdale moves on in the coming days.
As for the Englishman, he’s not short of suitors, with Wolves, Southampton and Nottingham Forest keen to snap him up. Whether or not he secures a transfer, though, remains to be seen.
