Sources have reportedly stated that Luis Diaz’s injury he picked up in Liverpool’s defeat at Manchester United is ‘nothing serious’.
It’s fair to say that Jurgen Klopp hasn’t exactly had the rub of the green when it comes to injuries of late.
Liverpool have been without a host of key players in recent weeks, with the likes of Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate and Diogo Jota all missing out on their defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday.
To add to Klopp’s woes after the 4-3 defeat, there were concerns over Luis Diaz after the winger picked up injury during the FA Cup clash.

Indeed, reports claimed yesterday that there is ‘alarm’ among the Colombian national team over the winger’s injury. But The Mirror’s Ryan Taylor has provided a positive update on Diaz’s fitness.
Diaz injury thought to be ‘nothing serious’
Taylor took to X on Tuesday afternoon and shared what sources have said about Diaz’s injury.
He wrote: “Sources say groin issue sustained by Luis Díaz in Liverpool’s FA Cup defeat at Man Utd is nothing serious.
“Didn’t train yesterday with Colombia but was in gym doing recovery work. Colombia play Spain on Friday at London Stadium.”
Luis Diaz’s stats for Liverpool this season
Diaz has once again been an important part of Klopp’s side this season, racking up 39 appearances in all competitions.
The 27-year-old has managed 11 goals and five assists in the process.

It will certainly be welcome news to Liverpool fans that Diaz’s injury isn’t anything too serious.
The Reds face a crucial run-in this term as Klopp bids to add to the League Cup in what will be his final few months at Anfield.
Despite the blow of crashing out of the FA Cup, Liverpool remain firmly in the hunt for a league title, as well as the Europa League.
