What Romano has tweeted suggests Tottenham fans may be in for exciting end to window - TBR View
Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a fruitful transfer window so far this summer.
Spurs have made six signings, with another – Destiny Udogie – apparently on the way.
Although Udogie is expected to return to Udinese on loan, he’s nonetheless a top talent for the future.
Things have slowed down a bit on the Tottenham incoming transfer front more recently.
That’s not surprising really, considering Spurs have several high-profile players not in Antonio Conte’s plans.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Sergio Reguilon, Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso were training individually.
Conte and Fabio Paratici ideally need to get some – or all – of them off the wage bill and out of the squad before making more signings.
Late last month, Romano told GiveMeSport: “For the other opportunities, we will have to wait until August Because now the priority is for Tottenham to sell players.
“Ndombele is one of them. Lo Celso is another, Reguilon is in a situation which needs to be clarified and Harry Winks could leave as well.
“They will try to sell as many players as possible. Of course only players that are not in the project of Antonio Conte, and then decide on potential additions.”
“Reached an agreement”
But now, two of those players appear to be on the way out of N17, which would no doubt go a long way towards Tottenham pushing for new signings.
On Friday night, Romano reported that Spurs and Napoli had agreed a loan for Ndombele with option to buy:
And Lo Celso is reportedly in Spain to complete his loan return to Villarreal:
Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge told GiveMeSport this week that Spurs were seeking a new attack-minded midfielder and possibly another central defender.
Now, with Ndombele and Lo Celso seemingly closing in on a Tottenham exit, Spurs fans may be in for an exciting end to the transfer window.
