Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was spotted dropping to his knees on Match of the Day as Mohamed Salah was bursting through on goal for Liverpool yesterday.
The Reds picked up a hugely important win against City at Anfield yesterday as Salah’s goal proved to be the difference between the sides.
Liverpool bossed the majority of the first-half but City came out a much stronger side after half-time. Guardiola felt aggrieved when Phil Foden’s goal was ruled out inside the first 10 minutes of the second-half.
City dominated the ball but just couldn’t find a way to break Liverpool down. Salah was denied by Ederson’s fingertips in his first one versus one opportunity.
But the Egyptian made no mistake the second time of asking and it seems that Guardiola knew what was coming.

What Guardiola was spotted doing as Salah was bursting through on goal
City had a free-kick in a dangerous area right before Salah’s goal. But Kevin De Bruyne’s delivery was collected comfortably by Alisson Becker.
And the Liverpool shot stopper sent a direct kick in behind the City defence. Joao Cancelo was isolated against Salah but the winger completely outmuscled the full-back and raced through on goal.
Before Alisson sent Salah away, Guardiola can be spotted pointing towards the danger and gesturing for his defenders to cover.
But of course, the Liverpool winger produces a world-class touch and bursts through on goal.
As the moment happens, Guardiola can be spotted on Match of the Day dropping to his knees with his head in his hands.

The Spanish boss then puts his head on the ground and as he lifts it up, Salah’s lofted finish hits the back of Ederson’s goal.
Liverpool had a couple of chances to wrap up the game after the goal, but Darwin Nunez missed a big chance and squandered a three on three situation.
Guardiola clearly knew what was coming after seeing Salah race towards the City goal for a second time. Ederson produced a brilliant save earlier on but it’s very rare that the Liverpool winger misses two big chances in a game.
