A midfield duo of Casemio and Kobbie Mainoo is as settled as we’ve seen for some time.

Similarly, the likes of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho now look a lot more confident either side of the Premier League’s new Nordic goal-scorer.

There’s definitely a few reasons for optimism, which hasn’t always been the case this season.

And perhaps the injury repeat suffered by Lisandro Martinez is the biggest frustration right now, another player who is key to the club’s long-term success.

That being said, Rasmus Hojlund is now also proving why he’ll be so important for ten Hag at United in the future.

The 21-year-old has suffered at times since his big-money arrival in the summer, but now seems to be finding assurance in his own ability.

And The Athletic have now shared a long-read on his progress, detailing what those around the striker are now saying.

Rasmus Hojlund now confident he can lead the line for Man United in the future

According to the report, Hojlund is now feeling an increased sense of belonging as Man United’s first-choice striker.

People around the Dane have noticed that he’s growing into the role as the main man, which has allowed him to trust his talent more.

Therefore, it is felt as if Hojlund will relish the task of being United’s next big name of the future.

In fairness, when looking at the young striker’s early season frustrations, you have to consider the jump he’s made.

Not only has Old Trafford proved a difficult place for some new signings to settle in recent years, but Hojlund had only amassed 32 Serie A appearances before signing.

And when you consider that Hojlund has already scored more goals for United (11) than he did during his time at Atalanta (10) it proves how quickly his career has moved.

Hojlund is definitely going to be a success story of United’s future, it’s just going to take some time.

But with a core of young players such as the Hojlund, Mainoo and Garnacho, the future is definitely bright.

That being said, it was one of the old boys who Scott McTominay and Hojlund were celebrating yesterday.
