Richard Keys has suggested that one Arsenal man embarrassed the club during their win over Liverpool on Sunday which threw the Premier League title race wide open again.
The Gunners picked up a huge win to move to within two points of the summit. It was a massive game, with Liverpool able to go eight points clear at the top.
But goals from Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard helped Arsenal to the three points. Unsurprisingly, the home side were in the mood to celebrate after.
Richards Keys criticises Mikel Arteta after Arsenal win
Mikel Arteta certainly made his feelings about the result clear. He could be seen sprinting away from his technical area whenever his side found the back of the net.

Speaking on his own website however, Richard Keys insisted that he did not have a problem with what the Arsenal captain did. But he was less than impressed by his manager.
“It wasn’t Odegaard, or his teammate’s that annoyed me yesterday [Sunday], it was their classless coach. What on earth was he doing racing for up and down the touchline, clenched fists, celebrating like his team had just smashed a screamer into the top corner, to settle a final of some sort in added time?
I disagree with his view that Arsenal ‘went up a level’ to win that game. Yes, they were better than Liverpool, but that wasn’t hard. Liverpool were poor right across the park. I can’t think of one of their players that had a good game,” he said.
“Arsenal were gifted the points by van Dijk and Alisson. You don’t celebrate a defensive howler, the likes of which those two conjured, by doing what Arteta did. He once again embarrassed The Arsenal. A proper club let’s not forget. One that has set the standards for behaviour down the years.”
Gunners fans won’t be surprised by criticism
It will not surprise Arsenal fans to see these comments. Richard Keys has been quick to criticise Arteta in the past. And Arteta is definitely someone who rubs rival fans up the wrong way.
Of course, it does appear that Arteta is not acting when he shows his delight. But he will be well aware that he is annoying many with his antics.
But it is part of creating a siege mentality where everyone associated with Arsenal is pushing in the same direction.
And for that, he will make absolutely no apologises.
