What Oleksandr Zinchenko was overheard shouting at his Arsenal teammates in team-huddle on Old Trafford pitch

Oleksandr Zinchenko was overheard shouting at his Arsenal teammates in the team-huddle on the Old Trafford pitch on Sky Sports yesterday

The Gunners fell to a 3-1 defeat against Manchester United as they suffered their first loss of the new season.

But the young Arsenal side put in a spirited display and dominated for large periods of the game.

And as Sky zoomed in on Arsenal’s team huddle prior to the game, Zinchenko could be heard shouting ‘let’s stick together’.

The BBC also made note of the new Arsenal’s player’s vocalness in the huddle. They said him and Gabriel Jesus were two of the most lively Gunners players in the team meeting before kick-off.

The pair only joined from Manchester City this summer but it’s clear they are already having a huge impact on the Arsenal dressing room.

Both Zinchenko and Jesus have won the Premier League under Pep Guardiola and know exactly what it takes to get over the line in big games.

Unfortunately for Arteta, his side didn’t manage to get a result at Old Trafford yesterday, despite a strong performance overall.

Arsenal got off to a slow start in the opening 10 minutes but thought they were ahead after Gabriel Martinelli finished excellently.

But Martin Odegaard was judged to have fouled Christian Eriksen by VAR and the Gunners found themselves 1-0 down at half-time.

Bukayo Saka did level the scoring in the 60th minute, but Arteta’s side were undone by clinical counter-attacks by United.

Arteta will be disappointed to not pick up a result yesterday but his side still sit top of the Premier League.

And it will certainly be a big boost for the young Gunners squad to have leaders such as Zinchenko around the place.

The Ukraine captain will help the team regroup over the next week as they kick-off their Europa League campaign on Thursday, before facing Everton on Sunday.
