Liverpool travel to Newcastle this evening looking to extend their lead at the top of the table to five points ahead of the new year.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have been in sensational form despite a number of defensive setbacks and will see tonight’s clash as the ideal chance to get another three points on the board against Steve Bruce’s men.

However, the Reds have had a bit of a blow ahead of the game, with manager Jurgen Klopp confirming that Spanish midfielder, Thiago Alcantara, may once again miss out completely.

Thiago has simply not got going since arriving in the summer and some Liverpool fans have been discussing his continued absence on Twitter, with a number of supporters unhappy.

It seems, then, that some Reds fans can’t get their heads around the news and are questioning if there is something more for them to worry about when it comes to the Spanish star.
