It’s a good time to be a Newcastle fan at the moment as Eddie Howe continues to bring results to St James’ Park after a busy January transfer window.
The Mags have won five of the last eight and there is a feel-good factor about the club again. Howe, it seems, has mastered the art of getting everyone singing from the same song sheet and results are showing the fruits of his labour.

However, one of the stranger things of Howe’s reign so far has been the constant taking of team pictures after each game to celebrate their successes. As pointed out by The Athletic today, this new tradition seems to be something Howe is keen to keep going, ensuring every player and staff member is part of the success.
And according to The Athletic, even the most sceptical of Newcastle staff are now fully on board with it. It’s claimed that some inside Newcastle were not big fans of the photo tactics employed by Howe. But success breeds success and good feeling, and The Athletic states that everyone at the club is now fully invested.
TBR’s View: Newcastle Doing Well But How Long Can This Last
It will certainly be interesting to see how this goes if the Mags start losing again. We can’t imagine Howe or any of his players will want their team photo taking after, say, a 3-0 away loss.
Even then, if the team wins the week after, it’s hard to suddenly say you are successful again based on one result.
But, it seems to be working for now. And credit must go to Eddie Howe really.
