Rio Ferdinand managed to spot what Myles Lewis-Skelly was doing before Real Madrid against Arsenal which really impressed him.
Arsenal emphatically defeated Real Madrid 5-1 on aggregate to reach the Champions League semi-final for the first time since 2009.
The Gunners dominated the competition’s current holders across the two legs, and even managed to win on the night at the Santiago Bernabeu, thanks to goals from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Ahead of the match, Lewis-Skelly was spotted doing something on the Bernabeu pitch, which Ferdinand revealed during commentary.
What Myles Lewis-Skelly was spotted doing on the Bernabeu pitch
Rio Ferdinand has revealed that he spotted Myles Lewis-Skelly looking very chilled on the Bernabeu pitch ahead of the Champions League quarter-final.
The 18-year-old was just calmly taking in the surroundings and appeared to be on the phone with his mother ahead of kick-off.

Despite his age, Lewis-Skelly, who’s been compared to Philipp Lahm, played with an incredible amount of maturity, which the commentators on TNT Sports made sure to point out
Darren Fletcher said on TNT Sports commentary: “Lewis-Skelly looks like he’s played 300 games at the Bernabeu, doesn’t he? I watched him when he came out, he had his phone out, he was filming everything and doing a couple of videos of himself.”
Meanwhile, Ferdinand added: “Ally (McCoist) and I were watching him, he was on a call to his mum, ‘Look mum I’m at the Bernabeu,’ just chilling.”
How Myles Lewis-Skelly managed to dominate Rodrygo Goes
Much of the talk in the build-up to the tie was about who is the better player between Bukayo Saka and Rodrygo Goes.
Well, we certainly got our answer, as Lewis-Skelly managed to pocket the Brazilian not once but twice, whilst Saka will have caused David Alaba to have nightmares.
