Wolves picked up what could end up being a valuable point on the road today as they managed to come back and snatch a draw at Brighton.

Gary O’Neil’s side have yet to win a game this season and are among four in the Premier League who haven’t registered a three points yet.

Going into the game at the AMEX, Wolves and O’Neil would have felt confident of picking up that win.

However, it wasn’t to be, and while Wolves fought back from 2-0 down to rescue the game in injury time, the Molineux outfit remain without a victory this term.

Of course, the impact of not winning games is bound to take its toll on the players and speaking to BBC reporter Chris Wise ahead of the game, Mario Lemina has revealed the lack of results is indeed playing on Wolves’ minds.

Mario Lemina shares what Wolves players are thinking about their poor form

Reporting for the BBC live from the AMEX ahead of Wolves v Brighton, Wise revealed he’d spoken to Mario Lemina before the game and questioned whether the winless run was affecting Wolves.

And according to Lemina, it was a resounding yes.

“Interviewed Mario Lemina in the tunnel before the game and asked him about whether the Wolves players are feeling the weight of this winless run,” Wise said.

“His answer was essentially ‘yes’, as he said they never expected to find themselves in this position. But there’s a real determination and belief that they can finally get three points here at the Amex.”

Wolves are in big trouble

Going nine games without a win in the Premier League is a nightmare scenario for any team and Wolves are in deep trouble already.

Luckily for them, other clubs like Southampton, Ipswich and Crystal Palace are all struggling to win as well.

However, O’Neil will be wondering how long he can survive for and eventually, the goodwill of supporters and the board will run out.

Today is a welcome point and could be a turning point. But a win is needed, and quickly.
